Creator Agreement
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This agreement applies every time you upload a wallpaper to Wallpaper Reactor, whether from the app, the command-line tool, or an agent acting on your account. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and Wallpaper Guidelines. Where this agreement and the Terms of Service disagree about uploaded wallpapers, this agreement wins.
The short version
- You keep ownership. Your wallpaper stays yours. We don’t claim any ownership of it.
- You can remove it at any time. Unpublish or delete it in the app, and we stop offering it.
- We may maintain it. We may edit your wallpaper so it keeps working, for example for a new Godot version, a performance problem, a new device, or a security fix.
- We may feature it. We may use your wallpaper in advertising and marketing for Wallpaper Reactor.
1. You keep your rights
You (or whoever licensed it to you) keep all ownership, copyright and other rights in the wallpaper you upload — its code, images, video, audio, models and any other part of it. Nothing in this agreement transfers ownership to us.
2. The licence you give us
You give us (Wallpaper Reactor and the companies that operate it, together “we”) a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use your wallpaper, in any form and in any media now known or later developed, in connection with operating, providing, developing, improving and promoting Wallpaper Reactor and our related products and services. That includes the right to:
- Host, store, copy and serve the wallpaper and its preview.
- Display and distribute it to Wallpaper Reactor users, and let them download it, apply it as a wallpaper on their devices, and change its options, for their personal use.
- Maintain it as described in section 3.
- Use it in advertising and marketing for Wallpaper Reactor, in any media — for example store listings, our website, social posts, paid ads, videos, trailers and press material. For this we may capture, crop, resize, edit and combine it with other content, and show your creator name with it.
- Offer it everywhere Wallpaper Reactor runs, on current and future platforms and surfaces — the apps, the website and web previews, the command-line tool and agent integrations, a screensaver mode, and app-store builds — including bundling it in an app build or offline pack.
- Present and curate it: list, rank, feature, categorise, tag, group it into collections and packs with other creators’ wallpapers, choose or generate its preview and thumbnail, and show content and performance warnings.
- Make variants of it so it suits more devices — for example a lighter version for low-power devices, other resolutions or frame rates, or a format a platform requires — offered alongside or instead of the original.
- Analyse and test it: scan its code and files, run it in a sandbox, and measure its performance and energy use, for moderation, safety, compatibility and quality, and keep copies in our private test and quality tooling while it is published.
- Use service providers (such as hosting, storage and content-delivery providers) to do any of the above on our behalf.
- Decide how it’s offered — for example free to everyone or included in Wallpaper Reactor Pro. You aren’t paid for uploads, and no fees or royalties are owed for any of the uses above.
We may sublicense these rights to users (to download and use the wallpaper), to our service providers, and to partners that distribute or promote Wallpaper Reactor — for example app stores, device makers, and media or press — for the purposes above.
This licence continues until you remove the wallpaper, as described in section 4, and then ends for new uses. Uses that already happened survive removal: copies users downloaded, app builds and offline packs already shipped, advertising and marketing material already made, and backups and records we keep under section 4. We may assign this licence to anyone who takes over Wallpaper Reactor or the part of our business that runs it.
3. We may maintain your wallpaper
You agree that we may modify your wallpaper, and publish the modified version in place of the earlier one, at any time and without asking first, to:
- keep it working with new engine, runtime or platform versions (for example, re-exporting a Godot wallpaper for a newer Godot release, or migrating a shader to a newer shader format);
- fix performance, battery or heat problems, including reducing resolution, frame rate or bitrate;
- convert or re-encode files (for example to a video format a platform requires) and generate previews;
- fix security problems or remove behaviour that breaks our guidelines;
- correct or translate its title, description, tags and options, and apply tags such as content or performance warnings.
When we do, we’ll aim to keep the wallpaper’s look, behaviour and intent as close to yours as the change allows. These edits are maintenance, not a claim of ownership: the modified wallpaper is still yours under section 1. If you don’t like a change, you can tell us or remove the wallpaper.
To the extent the law allows, you agree not to assert any moral right (such as a right to object to modification) against these maintenance changes.
4. Removing your wallpaper
You can unpublish or delete your wallpaper at any time in the app. Deleting your account removes all of your wallpapers in the same way.
- We stop offering it to new users as soon as you remove it, and remove it from listings, search and our public file servers.
- Copies users already downloaded stay on their devices and keep working for them, under the licence in section 2. We don’t reach into people’s devices to delete them.
- Our stored copies are deleted, except that backups roll off on their normal schedule and we may keep a record (for example, that the wallpaper existed and who uploaded it) where we need it for safety, fraud prevention, a legal claim, or a moderation decision.
- Advertising and marketing material made before your removal may continue to be used; we won’t create new material with it after you remove it.
5. Our right to refuse or take down
We review public wallpapers before they’re published and may refuse, unpublish or remove any wallpaper at our discretion, including one that breaks our guidelines, the law, or someone else’s rights, or that is unsafe or too demanding for devices to run. A wallpaper taken down for those reasons may also be removed from users’ devices.
6. What you promise
When you upload a wallpaper, you confirm that:
- you created it, or you have all the rights and licences needed to upload it and grant the licence above — including for fonts, music, 3D models, images and code made by others, with any attribution they require included in the upload;
- it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights or break the law;
- it contains no malware and doesn’t try to access anything beyond what a wallpaper needs;
- it follows our Wallpaper Guidelines.
If you choose an open licence for your wallpaper in the app, that licence also applies to users alongside this agreement.
If you upload through an automated tool or an agent, you are responsible for what it uploads on your account as if you had uploaded it yourself.
7. Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement. If a change materially affects the rights you give us, we’ll tell you in the app before it applies to wallpapers you’ve already uploaded, and you can remove them if you don’t agree.
