Account Deletion

Delete your account in the app

1. Sign in to Wallpaper Reactor and open your account page (the account button).
2. Under Danger Zone, choose Delete Account.
3. Read what will be deleted, type the confirmation word shown (DELETE in English), and choose Delete permanently.
4. If you signed in with Apple on a Mac, Apple asks you to confirm. That also disconnects Sign in with Apple from Wallpaper Reactor.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out. If something fails part-way, the app says so: choose Try again and it carries on from where it stopped.

On a computer you can also run wallpaper-reactor delete-account --confirm from the command line, signed in.

Subscriptions are not cancelled by deleting your account. Cancel yours where you bought it: Google Play, the App Store, the Microsoft Store, or the link in your web checkout receipt.

Signed in with Apple on Windows, Android or Linux? After deleting, also remove Wallpaper Reactor under Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings.

If you can’t use the app

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with “Account Deletion Request” in the subject line. We delete it within a few days of receiving your request. Write to the same address if deleting in the app keeps failing.

What Data is Deleted vs. Kept

Data that will be deleted:

• Your sign-in, email address and profile (display name, avatar link, bio)
• Your favourites
• All of your wallpapers, public and private, and their files, as described in the Creator Agreement
• Your Creator Agreement acceptance records and the revisions you submitted
• Linux compatibility reports you sent, and crash reports sent by app versions before 0.29 that carry your email address

Data that will be kept:

• Copies of your public wallpapers that other people already downloaded stay on their devices
• Feedback you sent from the app, which is not linked to your account
• A limited record where we need it for safety, fraud prevention, a legal claim or a moderation decision

Backups roll off on their normal schedule. Apart from those and the records above, once your account is deleted your personal data is permanently removed from our systems. See the Privacy Policy for everything we collect.
